VISITING SEASONS

Tourists can visit Yemen all year round as the altitudes counteract the effects of high temperatures.

Temperatures in the highland are mild year round with cool evenings and warm days.

During the summer only the desert and coastal plains in the west as well as Aden in the south are very hot while the weather in the northern mountains is dry and fresh.

Rainy season:

End of April – mid of May

Mid of August – mid of September

Usually it rains in the afternoon or in the night,

but not more than 1-2 hours.

Travel advice:

High season: beginning of October – end of April
Peak season: 20.12. – 5. 1.
Low season: May - September

Low season (May – September) and especially August (vacations in Europe) is therefore appropriate for visiting Northern part of the country.
